You've probably heard about health coaching, maybe from a friend, podcast, or your doctor, but what does it actually look like when you start working with one?
Here is a peek inside the process and what you can expect when we work together at Holistically Trained.
🌱 Step 1: Getting to Know You
Before we ever talk about goals, supplements, or habits, we start with YOU.
Our first conversation is a genuine, pressure-free chat. I want to understand your story, lifestly, and what has been working (or not) for you. You will never feel rushed or judged, just heard.
This call helps us uncover where you are starting from, what is holding you back, what kind of support you need most, and if we are a good match for each other.
🧠 Step 2: The Holistic Health Assessment
Once we decide to move forward, we dive into a comprehensive intake where we review your lifestyle, symptoms, nutrition, stress, sleep, and overall health.
This step is about connecting the dots, looking at your health as a whole system, not a collection of separate parts.
Sometimes, clients want to obtain functional testing to get a better look at their health. This is an area a health coach can help you with. These tests can help us get a better picture of your nutrient status, gut function, hormones, and inflammation markers.
A health coach cannot diagnose, treat, or provide diagnostic evaluations. What we can do with these results is provide education and empowerment helping you understand your results from an awareness standpoint and prepare to discuss them with your healthcare provider.
My goal is to help you feel informed, confident, and equipped to take the next step toward your best health.
💊 Step 3: Medication Awareness & Support
This is one of the things that makes my coaching unique.
With my background in pharmacy, I help clients understand the bigger picture when it comes to their medications. Things that often get overlooked, like:
Potential nutrient depletions from long term use.
Common side effects that could be linked to lifestyle factors.
How to support your body naturally while staying within your treatment plan.
I do not diagnose or change medications, but I can help you become more informed so you can have better conversations with your healthcare provider and help you stay knowledgeable about your health.
Knowledge builds confidence, and confidence changes everything. 💪
🍎 Step 4: Building Your Personalized Plan
Once we have your full picture, we create a plan designed specifically for you.
No cookie-cutter programs here, your plan will reflect your unique health history, goals, preferences, and schedule. We will focus on foundational habits like:
Balancing blood sugar and energy
Improving sleep quality
Reducing inflammation
Supporting hormones and gut health
Managing stress in realistic, sustainable ways
Every step is guided and supported so you never feel like you are figuring it out alone.
🔄 Step 5: Accountability & Real-Life Support
Health coaching is not just about what happens during our sessions, it is about what happens in between.
We will track progress, celebrate wins, and adjust along the way. Whether you are traveling, stressed, or just trying to stay consistent, I will help you stay grounded in what matters most: sustainable, realistic progress.
✨ Step 6: Transformation & Empowerment
Over time, you will start to feel more in tune with your body, understanding your patterns, triggers, and what truly supports your energy and well-being.
It is not just about fixing problems; it is about building resilience, confidence, and self-trust.
You will leave coaching with tools you can use for life, not just another plan to follow.
💬 Final Thoughts
Working with a health coach means finally having someone who listens, connects the dots, and helps you bridge the gap between knowing and doing.
If you have been feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just ready to take charge of your health again, this is your sign.
